This is, and always will be, my favorite of all the Childrin R Skary series. And it holds a place in my heart as one of my top Newgrounds animations. I'll admit, it isn't much to look at visually, but it has such a story and art style to it that you don't really care. Everything in this animation is 100%, perfectly Grade-A storytelling.

I always think of animations like this one when I'm feeling down, because I honestly have a crappy life myself. I know I'm not exactly an adult, but life hasn't been kind to me so far. But I'm not gonna waste your time with my story, that's what communication via PM is for. Anyhow, when I think of Shawnee, I think of how things get better at some point. They always do, even if it's a bit questionable. The point is, Shawnee reminds me of myself and while things aren't good now, I just have to remember that I do have something good coming my way every so-often. Someday, things won't be so bad anymore.

Magnificent. I hope I can learn to be as good as you one day, since I'm also an animator. :)

You really deserve these 5 stars. Hope you make more in the future. Heck, maybe watching you alone will rub off on my work. :D

This animation is so well-executed and awesome. Kudos!

I especially liked Bear Bear's design, and the freaking disturbing music. It kind of reminds me of an upcoming game, Among the Sleep. When I finally get to play Among the Sleep, I am going to be sure to watch this beforehand to get myself all pumped for childhood horror. :3

5/5 10/10!

Funny...

I actually used to own a pet ram. He had brain damage and bumped into windows. But what happened to him is another story. Anyway, I liked this a good bit, especially the flamethrower and grenade! 8D 3/5, 7/10. And for the record, I happen to like sheep also. Probobly because I had a pet one...but yeah.

10/10, dude!

Not bad, not bad at all. I thought it was funny and challaging, but not drive-you-crazy challanging. I alos loved the llines that the futer guy cried out when he was in pain. Especially 'My insides, AND my outsides are in pain!!" and "My ribs! Their in my eyes!"

I like it!

A great game about those wonderful little creatures of the night. It's fun and is a good way to see how a bat may see things. 10/10.

Hey there, I'm wondering if I could use any of your songs for an animation. I can't pay you just yet, but I'd love to use this one, or something similar to it. I might shorten the song with Audacity, though. If you don't want me to shorten it, I can just not do it, if you want.

So yeah...how about it? Totally fine if you say no.

MrNightVarga responds:

Hiya, of course you can use it, no payment required, I would just like it if you would send me a link so that I might watch the final product! Also, as far as shortening it, I really don't mind, use it so that it suits your animation.

This was really great!

I would like to use that last voice for a possible future animation. I need a narrator for a "nature documentary" of a special species of magical animal I invented. If you don't mind free work, gimme a call!

Great as you always have been, Stunkel. Good job. :)

stunkel responds:

Thanks :) Glad to hear from you!

I keep seeing this picture in the background of Newgrounds. Good job, they acknowledge you! :D

I'm seeing it right now, actually. The corners and sides of Newgrounds now have this same picture as the backdrop.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Thanks. I do acknowledge popular NG users as a great influence.

By far the most beautiful piece of pixel art you've ever done. Not only because of graphics and the style, but also because...well, that it's dedicated to such a great man and has such a deep significance. I'll admit, I always had my head stuck in a SEGA game or was busy trying to make my own, and just generally was busy with other games. But when I play the new pokemon games, I can't deny that I feel close to my pokemon, silly as it is. I'll never let Blaze the male Braixen off my team. I'll swap out others for battle, but I'll never swap out Blaze. He's special, and not just because he's quite literally a cross-dressing pokemon. He's special because he's mine, as well as unique.

But I see other pokemon as special on the game, too. I always take my Cubone out of the box to play with and feed him in Amie, along with the rest of my "personal army" that I keep only to play with. I love to see their happy expressions when the receive a treat or get pet in their favorite spot.

"It's silly to get so deep into a game, stop making all these theories and believing others." I've always been told. My parents were always incredibly logical people, my mother being far less understanding. But my dad and I are very close, it is almost shocking he can't understand my love for games. But he didn't grow up in that era, so he doesn't really have a way to learn.

Games are a gateway to another world. A world where you can be happy. A world where you can do whatever you want, and no one can stop you. Be it caring for animals in Harvest Moon or carrying out violent desires in GTA, there's always a game out there that at least somewhat helps you feel like you can escape. It's more than entertainment, it's a world of possibility.

If you asked me a few weeks ago who Mr. Iwata was, I would have not known. I was never the biggest Nintendo fan. But I have to admit, when I heard who he was and what a great man he was, and then heard that he died, I felt the sorrow of the gamers who are going to miss him. I may not know him well, but I know a genius when I see one. It is because of pokemon I have gotten into pixel art myself, and am planning on making a game of my own. Mr. Iwata was a genius in every way with the many games he made.

I love games. I'm proud to be a gamer. And I'm sad to see such a fantastic man go. But people come and go, and we must accept that they will. But it never means goodbye. Just..."See you later". Much later. One day, we're going to ride up that rainbow road that showed up over the Nintendo HQ, and meet Mr. Iwata there.

Goodbye, Mr. Iwata. We will never forget you. <3

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Interesting long description m8. I honestly agree that playing video games is like escaping from this reality to another world for players to interact with to set aside from the list of situations and problems people encountered: bullying, misfortune, arguments, pessimism, violence, negativity, sorrow, ect. and hopefully when our life has ended every gamers such as me should visit rainbow road where Satoru Iwata resides. Good point.

Love it!

One thing though...that guy looks oddly like that guy from the movie Tangled. Ah well, I still love it! Can't find a single thing wrong with it!

10/10, my friend! 10/10!

JMDeSantis responds:

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I actually have neglected my Newgrounds account for far too long (especially considering my art seems to be getting even more attention here than on deviantART).

Thank you. I'm glad so many people find this piece to be a smashing success. I won't hold the "Tangled" reference against you, even though this piece came first (2007). So, really, the bloke from "Tangled" looks like the guy in "The Horror Beyond the Door."
